Room Service Manger

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising all room service personnel and ensuring they meet established standards of service.
• Conducting regular training sessions with the team to maintain service standards and product knowledge.
• Overseeing the delivery and clearance of all guestroom amenities and conducting spot checks.
• Managing the department’s budget, creating and implementing service standards, and hiring and training staff.
• Ensuring effective communication between shifts and other departments, such as housekeeping and the kitchen.
• Coordinating and monitoring all phases of loss prevention in the room service operation and ensuring compliance with SOPs.

Requierments

• Experience is also crucial, with most employers preferring candidates who have at least 3-5 years of experience in the foodservice industry, including roles like food servers, runners, or bus persons.
• Leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and knowledge of food services operations are highly valued.
• Formal education can increase income potential and qualify candidates for promotions. Gaining advanced degrees may also be beneficial.
• Additionally, candidates should be able to hire, evaluate, and train new employees, and be familiar with various cultural differences to provide sound knowledge to customers.
